Not an awful lot to report on for 25 as we had a pretty slow day. We arrived in pretty late last night and so we took the morning nice and slow to catch up with family and friends and to make the most of the rooftop pool at the Viajero hostel we were staying at. This was the most relaxed we had felt for a while which was so good.
Later that afternoon we walked through Santa Marta and jumped on a local bus (probably the busiest bus we’ve ever been on) and headed East along the Coast to our next destination Mama Tayrona which is an eco hostel on the our skirts of Tayrona National Park.
The wee man with the tickets on the bus called our names, chased us down the steps then threw our bags out on the side of the road before running after the bus again which had already started taking off to the next stop, funnier in person than through words I can assure you!

Our Eco Hostel was quite literally in the middle of the jungle and so we had a 10minute walk from the road down over a bridge and up through the trees to get to it.
We spent the afternoon sunbathing some more, chatting to other travellers and enjoying the view from our room out over the jungle canopy. It was a pretty amazing location and we could see lots of wildlife all afternoon.

G&L xx
