We headed straight to a breakfast cafe called Betty’s bowls for a bowl full of health and goodness which was much needed. Honestly was amazing!!

After that we went into the city centre to check out the Botero sculptures and exhibition at the Museo de Antioquia.

The sculptures are an acquired taste but it was pretty cool seeing them in the centre of Medillin as there was so many of them and they were massive!!

Apparently the coffee in the cafe at the museum was some of the best in the city centre so we stopped in for one before we headed back to the hostel to get our bags for the airport.

We were very sad to be leaving Medillin as we had really liked what we’d seen of it but really didn’t have enough time to properly explore and get to see more of the city, but we had to keep moving.
To save another dreaded night bus (this time it would have been 18hours) we opted for a 1hr 15min flight to Santa Marta and we were delighted we weren’t getting on another bus. Our next stop was Tayrona national park and to get there we needed to fly to Santa Marta and then get the bus along the coast.
We arrived into Santa Marta late that evening and went straight to our hostel to check in. It was 9.45pm and we were told there was live music on the rooftop starting at 10 so we thought we’d head up and have a few beers and listen to some Colombian tunes before bed.
