Day 16 – Burst and headed to Bogota

Today was a turn for the books, where Laura had carried the baton in Buenos Aires for me on a hangover it was most definitely my turn to do it this time. I’d even been given the passports… a first for the trip!

We had gone hard on the Pisco Sours and it’s safe to say that Laura on her own was going nowhere unless I’d dragged her through the next 12hours of travel up through Santiago and on to Bogota, Colombia.

We were sad to be leaving Patagonia but perhaps we were heading off at the right time because it started to lash it down as we made our way out to the plane. Probably the worst weather we had seen all week.

After a few delays we landed in Bogota and made our way to our Hostel in La Candelaria. We were both very scared getting dropped on the side of the street at midnight having driven through a lot of rough parts of the city from the airport but eventually the hostel opened their doors and we were in! Relief is an understatement haha

Time for a long sleep!
