Day 8 – Japanese Gardens, Malba & Recoleta Cemetery

We had a slow start to the day as Gregor was hungover so I took the reigns and dragged us to brunch at Selena Cafe which was a cafe in one of the parks which did great veggie brunch (and it didn’t disappoint). I ordered us two juices which were meant to get rid of hangovers but unsure if it really worked for Gregor lol

We then walked to the Japanese Gardens which were nice but absolutely packed so we didn’t stay too long.

After that we headed to the Malba museum (South Americas best art owned by a Latin American billionaire who remains unknown) Freda Khalo’s collection was there which was very cool to see! We don’t think of ourselves as very cultured but two museums in two days…

Today was a day full of walking and because BA is so big, we did a lot of walking!!! From the museum we went to Recoleta Cemetery which was very very eerie and we saw Evita’s grave.

Recoleta was a cool area and it had a market on so we wandered round but decided after walking about it was too hot so we went back to the pool on the roof of the Airbnb for a few hours to chill out which was 10/10!!

That night we went to Burger joint which had been highly recommended by a friend from back home and got two delicious burgers and local beers.

On the way back there was a hostel near us with a rooftop bar so we called in to check it out and had a couple of cheeky aperols as a night cap.

BA delivering the goods again!

G&L xx
