We were very very excited for today!! We had booked a Helicopter Ride over Rio which took us round the main sights for 30mins.

We took off at 10am, the skies were so blue and the views were so clear, we couldn’t have been luckier. Flying over Christ the Redeemer has to be one of the most surreal experiences for both of us especially as we watched all the people who had surrounded the statue by that time in the morning. We felt very smug in our helicopter haha

All that flying had taken it out of us so we heading to a Cafe at the bottom of Copacobana which had incredible views along the whole beach and we grabbed some lunch and did some people watching.

It was so hot so we thought the only thing for it was to head to the beach to chill for a couple of hours and have a few Caipirinhas on our last full day. I had a mango one this time but I regretted it instantly, better sticking with the OG.

Back to the room for a quick change as we were heading to another viewpoint, Sugarloaf Mountain! We wanted to get up before sunset as the view over the whole city was meant to be incredible and it did not disappoint. Two cable cars to the top and this was the view…

We spent the rest of the time watching the sun go down and the lights of Rio come up. Guanabara Bay looked pretty class with all the ships lit up.

G&L xx
